Slain GPHA Marketing Manager to be buried March 16

The Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) in charge of the Tema Port, Josephine Asante, who was stabbed to death at her residence at Emef Estates near Afienya will be buried on March 16, 2019.

This was disclosed at a memorial service held at the Our Lady Of Mercy Catholic Church at Tema Community One this morning.

In attendance were family members, management and staff of the GPHA and other well-wishers.

The deceased is said to have been attacked in her bedroom after returning from a staff party.

He attacker(s) locked her inside her room after the incident and threw the keys unto the compound.

She was discovered dead the following morning after occupants of the house found the keys to her bedroom on the compound.

Her assailant(s) did not take any properties of the deceased.

Already, a Tema District Court has remanded into prison custody the houseboy of the deceased.

The accused person, Christian Agyei, 22, is facing committal proceedings for the alleged murder of his boss will reappear in court on January 31, 2019.

The Director of Tema Port, Mr Edward Osei in a brief interview after the church service expressed the hope that the police will do a good job by apprehending the culprits and bringing them to book.

Rev Fr. George Obeng Appah, Priest In Charge SS Thomas More Catholic Church, Achimota in a message said though the family is sad and griefing, they still have hope in the Lord.

He called on the nation to rally behind the security agencies to unravel the circumstances behind this crime.
