Don’t misinterpret Quran to beat your wives – Islamic scholar advises

An Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu has cautioned Muslim men not to misinterpret the Quran as a basis to beat their wives.
His advice comes after security analyst Irbard Ibrahim posted sections of the Quran on facing justifying why men can beat their wives.
It follows a Joy News story about a Muslim woman who was assaulted by her husband Razak Toure until her face was covered with blood.
Mr Toure went to seek the intervention of the National Chief Imam to plead with his estranged to come back to me.
